ABOUT THE ROLE
As a preface, we understand that applying to any role is a bit scary. From here onwards, read knowing that this is ideally what we want but what we are seeking is more than just a list.

This role is the de facto visual leader for Treasure.   You will be responsible for leading both the general art and visual direction for Treasure as well as for developing the full visual style, language, and bible for an unforgettable new world that will not only be the backdrop for a major online game but will be the glue of Treasure’s entire ecosystem of games.  

The ideal candidate has an amazing technical process for creating and explaining all elements of a world visually and how they elicit the appropriate emotion, mood, and storytelling through style, composition, color, and shape.  You will define a cohesive bible for this new world that includes characters, architecture, landscaping, and all other elements of the world so that new art can be created extensively and on specification. The art will bring together owned as well as externally developed IP from games building atop Treasure.

You will work closely with Treasure’s founders, the Narrative Director, and a Game Director to fully realize the vision for this world and ensure that the art bible breaks down into realizable systems and actions across marketing, game development, and studio partnerships. 

You have a sense of not just how the creative exists for itself in the world, but also how it can be leveraged for a variety of storytelling purposes across social channels and in promotional and marketing materials.

To reach your goals and the goals of the Treasure ecosystem,  you will oversee a talented, creative in-house team of artists, brand designers, and product designers. You’ll be tasked with mentoring and developing this team, fostering a creative culture within the organization, and empowering a great group of creatives to navigate the unknown. You are a conjurer of worlds, an arbiter of mind-blowing art and creativity, and will help drive the color and passion for the Treasure ecosystem and all games set in this world!
RESPONSIBILITIES
Evolve and contribute to driving Treasure’s overall brand and visual direction across its IP, the game project, and other technology products (gaming platform, marketplace, etc.).
Define and support visual direction for the game project in collaboration with studio leadership Narrative Designer, and Game Director, and own the visual style so it hits the storytelling and brand needs but also blows people’s minds creatively.
Create, curate, and update the project art bible outlining the visual tone and style.
Own art backlog, roadmaps, and production pipelines.
Hands-on ownership of the entire creation process - sketches to color concepts to 2D and 3D game assets. Manage and oversee a team of artists, brand designers, product designers, and other internal and external/outsourced creatives.
Source and coordinate with external studios and contractors should the need arise (or, potentially over time, build and manage an in-house team).
Contribute to sprint planning and work closely with the rest of an expanding team.
Import, implement, and test game assets in Unity or Unreal Engine.
Evaluate and select tools used for art creation to ensure optimal and quality creation of game assets.
Be willing to learn and explore this new, exciting frontier to bring to life an original fun world.
Foster a creative culture empowering and mentoring future creative leaders, including both designers and artists.
QUALIFICATIONS
A passion for games or other interactive experiences and entertainment (movies, games, music).
7 - 10 years of experience in senior or lead art roles working with 2D (and/or 3D) games.
Ability to illustrate your own ideas and to render out core ideas yourself.
Mastery of Adobe Suite, (or other 2D rendering software like Painter) and working knowledge of 3D tool sets like Blender, Maya, and ZbrushStrong process to own and manage 2D and 3D concept processes.
Strong ability to create 2D concept art and drive 3D concept process.
Working knowledge of 3D pipeline validation.
Ability to manage consistent style and high-quality output as content scales.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent understanding of game industry trends.
Critical thinking and analytical mindset.
Extensive experience with Unity, Unreal Engine, and other rendering solutions.

You will be the lead in developing and realizing an unforgettable world that will not only be the backdrop for a major online game but will be the glue of the entire Treasure ecosystem of games and developers.  The ideal candidate will inspire amazing world-building ideas but also work with all disciplines to break them down into realizable systems and actions across marketing, game development, and studio partnerships. 

As the Narrative Director for Treasure, you will lead the creation and expansion of a sprawling, fantasy universe with intriguing mythology and history, and a multitude of amazing hooks for players to fall into.  The world will have other specific objectives for it:  The world will drive the central mythology for our entire publishing ecosystem so that all of our development partners’ games can fit into the mythology and allow us to craft highly engaging promotions and stories for our community members no matter what game they are playing in the Treasure ecosystem.

You will work closely with partner development teams, game designers, artists, marketing, and community teams to design and implement this incredible world and drive its vision. 

You are a conjurer of worlds, an arbiter of design and creativity, and will help drive the color and passion to the Treasure ecosystem and to games set in that world. 
RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and implement an immersive and engaging game world that supports the two purposes: being the background of an incredible online game experience, and being the central lore of the entire Treasure games publishing ecosystem. 
Define a story/lore bible that can be used as a consistent reference point for all teams building extensions into this world, including our loyal and passionate player community. 
Work with team leadership, community leads, marketing, and game design teams to create a narrative plan that hits the objectives.
Iteratively refine, improve, and balance the game world, mythology, history, characters, and story hooks based on feedback from all key partners in the process.
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends and best practices in game world design, and contribute to the evolution of a new game, as well as community and promotional efforts leveraging game lore.
Develop engaging narrative events that allow for cross-pollination between our development team partners.
QUALIFICATIONS
You have 5-8 years of experience in a narrative role in games and interactive media (transmedia, ARGs, interactive fiction, and more). 
You have been the Narrative Lead on a game product from start to finish that has shipped. 
You are an excellent writer. You are devoted to the creation of lore and mythology that sucks people in and makes them never want to leave. For you, it’s all about the magic and fun of bringing someone into a new place where they can have fun, learn, and create a backdrop for amazing interactions with their friends. 
You breathe new life and insight into the beloved tropes of fantasy genres, finding fresh new ways that audiences will be excited by. 
You have managed a small team of writers to perform: Setting priorities, managing workflow, and giving feedback that helps them flourish as creatives. 
You have a love for storytelling, particularly storytelling in games.
You’re eager to explore methods of storytelling that would be challenging or even impossible in linear media like film and television.
You’re comfortable writing in a broad range of tones.

Responsibilities
Own our social media presence across Treasure’s Twitter, Discord, YouTube, TikTok, and LinkedIn to grow our following and ensure high levels of community engagement;
Serve as one of the faces for Treasure and produce content for core social and content channels (YouTube, TikTok, and Twitch);
Maintain a consistent and holistic brand image, voice and tone across channels;
Performing research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences;
Actively communicate with our audience, responding to queries in a timely manner and monitoring brand image across socials (this will fall outside of core working hours!);
Monitor, report on, and garner insights on key marketing, acquisition, and engagement metrics;
Work closely with Treasure’s Head of Marketing to provide marketing input on matters relating to product/feature releases, community development, and partnerships;
Build a strong understanding of Treasure’s target audience and needs;
Develop and execute upon Treasure's content calendar; and
Support on a variety of operational initiatives including but not limited to community-led events, and partner marketing initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of work experience in social media marketing or community management in a gaming, web3, or consumer setting;
Clear, concise and creative writing and storytelling skills - i.e. “I can tell a story in 10,000 words, tweet in 280 characters, and write compelling copy for ads in 10 words.”;
Fluency with core social media platforms (Twitter and Discord) and accompanying tools (Typefully) with an understanding of the latest social media trends and strategies;

As a Full-Stack Engineer at Treasure, you'll be doing everything from building delightful user interfaces and creating client infrastructure on the front-end, to creating APIs, data pipelines and services that bridge the gap between the blockchain, games, and the experience for our users/players and game developers alike. You'll tackle complex technical problems across the Treasure platform, marketplace, Magicswap (an automated market maker tailored made for player-driven economies and gaming on the blockchain), game developer infrastructure, and other products changing the face of gaming powered by the blockchain. Responsibilities
Build out features for new and exciting products. You will own and develop user-facing products and features on our web platforms, including the Treasure platform, marketplace, Magicswap (automated market maker), game developer infrastructure, Bridgeworld (our ecosystem metagame), and more!
Collaborate with the product, engineering and design team across all aspects of the product development lifecycle, including requirements and design.
Interfacing with users: You will interface directly with end-users, players, and game developers building atop Treasure – supporting them and collecting feedback to inform the direction of the product.
Work cross-functionality with other teams across product, marketing, business development, and the founders to get products built, shipped, and improved upon.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of working experience as a Software Engineer (ideally across the stack);
Experience with modern React, Typescript, and frameworks like Next.js and Remix (understands modern SSR concepts);
Experiencing working with web3 libraries (wagmi, ethers.js) and GraphQL;
Writes organized and clean code that is conducive to collaboration;
Located in North America or have a timezone overlap of at least 4 hours;
Possesses great communication skills for varying levels of technically proficient audiences; and
Be really passionate about gaming and/or web3.
Nice to Have
A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with blockchain and crypto (ideally within the Ethereum ecosystem).
You've worked with Solidity, Golang, Geth, and/or Hardhat.

As a Brand Manager at Treasure, you will be joining a small but mighty marketing and publishing team. You'll be asked to hit the ground running as a true owner that will oversee the end-to-end marketing for an upcoming core title built by Darkbright, Treasure's in-house game studio. The game is a hybrid between a life sim and strategy RPG that is based on original Treasure IP around the "Smols" and is preparing to launch at the end of the year. You'll be responsible for developing and executing long-term franchise strategy, brand development, and go-to-market plans for games built not only by Darkbright but also other external game studios who are partnered with Treasure. Responsibilities
Lead the planning and execution of the go-to-market, brand development, and marketing strategy for assigned titles in close collaboration with the Head of Marketing and broader publishing team.
Manage tactics and projects that support the delivery of the strategy and plans, ensuring they are effective, delivered on time and to budget.
Develop and execute marketing plans to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention.
Create and manage marketing budgets, ensuring campaigns are cost-effective and on track to meet performance goals.
Produce asset briefs and liaise with the internal creative team and external agencies to create assets and materials as required.
Manage asset approvals, critique assets to ensure brand consistency.
Act as an evangelist for assigned titles and the web3 gaming market. Demo games to stakeholders and become an expert in each title’s competitive environment.
Collaborate with the wider publishing team- community, live ops, partnerships, etc. - to ensure the whole campaign is executed and supported effectively.
Analyze data from marketing activities and channels to ensure data informs and supports all of our decisions.
Conduct ongoing product and competitive marketing analysis to ensure consumer and market trends are informing key brand strategies.
Collaborate with external agencies to execute marketing campaigns across a variety of channels (social media, influencer partnerships, paid advertising, etc.).
Develop and maintain relationships with key industry influencers, partners, and media outlets.
Basic Qualifications
3-4 years of video games marketing or publishing experience;
Experience managing external marketing agencies and service providers, with a strong network of industry contacts;
Proven ability to develop and execute successful marketing campaigns across a variety of channels;
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions to optimize performance;
Ability to balance multiple projects at once, prioritize, and take initiative;

Responsibilities
Lead and take ownership of the front-end stack and build user-facing experiences;

Basic Qualifications
4+ years of professional front-end experience building production-level web applications from design systems (we use Figma);
Passionate about modern and intuitive front-end experiences on any device;

Experience with modern React, Typescript, and frameworks like Next.js and Remix (understands modern SSR concepts);
Understanding of CSS fundamentals (flexbox, CSS specificities and selectors) and experience working with frameworks like Tailwind CSS;
Experience with CSS animations - e.g. keyframe animations;
Experiencing working with web3 libraries (wagmi, ethers.js) and GraphQL; and
Possesses great communication skills for varying levels of technically proficient audiences.

As a Solidity Developer, you'll contribute to building core on-chain products, libraries, games, and protocols relating to MAGIC, NFTs, and a deeply connected and interoperable ecosystem of games and infrastructure. All of this will sit at the intersection of web3 gaming, NFTs, decentralized finance, culture, and entertainment. You'll tackle complex and enriching technical challenges across Treasure and its different verticals, including: our platform and marketplace (think of it like the "Steam" of Treasure), Bridgeworld (gamified tokenomics fostering an intra-game metagame), Smol (fun and zany IP bringing together pioneering web3 mechanics with a game for the mass market currently in production), Magicswap (AMM built for blockchain gaming), and much more.

Responsibilities
Design and develop smart contracts on Ethereum using Solidity (we're on Arbitrum!).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze business needs, and translate them into smart contract specifications.
Drive high-level decisions about the protocol design and smart contract architecture in close collaboration with other Solidity Developers, Product Managers, and the broader engineering team.

Requirements
1-2+ years minimum of professional smart contract development experience.
Strong proficiency in blockchain technologies and smart contract development.
Experience developing and deploying smart contracts on Ethereum or other blockchain platforms.
Proficiency in Solidity with an in-depth understanding of blockchain concepts and decentralized applications (dapps).
